Frequently Asked Questions

Q1. Will this tint cover all my greys?

A: Krya’s herbal henna tints offer a soft, natural reddish tone with a red - brown tint depending upon which shade you are picking that blends well with early greys and retained pigment.

This is not a flat chemical dye — it will colour greys but sometimes not as quickly and evenly as a chemical colour.

Use regularly to deepen the colour and improve hair health.

Q2. What’s the difference in application if I want to use Madyantika tints as a colour vs for hair and scalp care?

A:

  1. For scalp health and pitta balance: apply on well-oiled hair, leave on for 1–2 hours, and wash off with Krya's Ayurvedic Hair Wash.
  2. For colouring: apply on clean, dry, oil-free hair, leave on for 2-3 hours, rinse with plain water, and apply Krya’s Hair Colour Mask the next day.
Q3. Can I use this with indigo or black colours?

A: Yes you absolutely can. Make sure you use this tint BEFORE using any Indigo based colour to ensure deep rich colour.

If you’re looking for darker coverage, explore Krya’s One-Step or Two-Step Indigo Systems additionally.

Q4. Can men use this product?

A: Yes! Krya’s colours are gender-neutral and safe for all hair types.

Q5. Is this safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding?

A: Yes. Krya’s henna tints are 100% natural, chemical-free, and PPD-free. They are gentle enough for long-term use and safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Q6. Will this colour stain my skin or bathroom?

A: Henna can stain porous surfaces. Wear gloves and protect fabrics during use.

Any stains can usually be removed with soap and water if wiped quickly.

Q7. How long does the tint last?

A: It typically lasts 3–4 weeks depending on hair porosity, shampoo frequency, and care.

With regular use , the colour lasts longer and you would have to do touchups less frequently.

For best results, avoid shampooing immediately and use Krya’s post-colour mask to seal the tint.

To retain colour and avoid quick fade, oil hair well before wash. Use a herbal hair wash or one of our hair wash powders instead of a chemical shampoo.

Q8. Will it dry out my hair like other hennas?

A: Our Henna colours are less likely to overdry hair as our formula includes many herbs that nourish teh hair like Amla, Manjishta, Khadira, etc.

However. the basic nature of these herbs, esepcially when applied to dry hair is to produce a slightly astringent, drying effect. so its important to provide good after care and oil your ahir regularly to prevent excessive dryness.
